Three Sisters Mountains (Blank Photo Card)
$6.00
“We don’t develop courage by being happy every day. We develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity.” – Barbara De Angelis. A day trip to the mountains is always a good way to rejuvenate my spirit. Recently I photographed the Three Sisters mountain peaks above Canmore, Alberta, Canada. The traditional language of the First Nations Stoney Nakoda, Îyârhe Nakoda , who live in the area, also refers to the peaks as the Three Sisters. However, the story’s main character is Ĩ-ktomnĩ, the old man who would promises ‘three sisters’ in marriage whenever he was in trouble! Big Sister is the tallest of the three mountains at 2,936 metres, Middle Sister is 2,769 metres, and Little Sister is 2,694 metres.
