“Autumn Alpine Glory”

In late September, the larch trees in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada turn a lovely shade of yellow before shedding their needles ahead of the winter. Bears, including grizzlies, love the interspersion of open slopes (where their food is abundant) with intact forest (where they can find shelter).
