“On the still calm waters of surrender, the reflection of clarity appears.” – Bryant McGill. The Vermilion Lakes are a series of lakes and extensive wetlands located along the Bow River, west of Banff, Alberta, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The lakes provide many recreational opportunities with canoeing, biking, walking, bird-watching, skating and cross-country skiing being popular. It is also a great spot for photography or to just sit, and enjoy the beauty of each season. When the water is completely still, as in these photos, there is a stunning reflection of Mount Rundle.
